About the CARR Group

The CARR Group was established from a manufacturing background in PVC production and blowing urethane foam in New Zealand. Today we use the knowledge gained from those days in production to work with manufacturers around the globe to provide our customers with the tailored products at the best price. As a bespoke trading company we draw on our specialised technical knowledge to supply material into a range of industries. Those we are a key supplier into are the medical, protective garment, hot air welding equipment, grommets and setting machines, curtain eyelets and print media.

We use the knowledge gained from our manufacturing past to work with manufacturers around the globe providing our customers with the best products at the best price, coupled with our on-the-ground local service.

Our evolution into a trading company, leveraging our specialised technical strength and global reach, we work alongside some of the “best in industry” manufacturers to supply high-performance materials across diverse industries.

We have a sales office and warehousing in Sydney and Melbourne Australia, Haining China, Auckland New Zealand and Swansea, Massachusetts, in the USA.

The Specialised Textiles Association (STA) is the industry representative body for the fabric and textiles sectors in Australia. They currently represent over 200 member businesses from around the country to promote industry standards and ethics, work with government and training organisations and provide members with information and news relating to their business and the broader industry. STA members include businesses of a wide range of sizes, specialising in the manufacturing and supply of textiles, equipment and services across the value chain. Sectors, where STA members are particularly prominent, include tension structures and banners, auto and marine fabrication, shade structures and sails, and blinds and awnings. The STA’s annual Spectex Trade Display and Conference is a major focus for the industry, and regularly attended by CARR employees.

The Federation of European Screen Printers Associations (FESPA) is a global federation of 37 national associations for the screen printing, digital printing and textile printing community. Since its inception over 50 years ago, FESPA has been supporting the print community via successful exhibitions, events and publications, providing education and networking opportunities. Each year, FESPA hosts a Global Print Expo in Europe, which CARR representatives have regularly attended. The Sign Expo is Europe’s dedicated printed signage and visual communications exhibition that serves the community as an unmissable platform to network, learn, gain access to experts and leaders in the market and develop long term and profitable business connections.

FloorNZ is the membership association supporting flooring retailers, wholesalers and installers throughout New Zealand. CARR New Zealand is a proud member of FloorNZ, and supports the flooring industry by providing essential tools and equipment for apprentices at the Flooring School, ensuring they have the resources they need to succeed in their training and future careers.

We are also a long time supporter of Floor NZ’s annual awards evening, donating a quality Leister flooring tool to the well-deserving recipient of the Apprentice of the Year Stage 3 Award.

The Advanced Textiles Association New Zealand (ATA NZ), formerly the Outdoor Fabric Products Association of New Zealand (OFPANZ), provides members with an international forum. We are dedicated to promoting, developing and protecting the interests of the manufacture, trading and marketing of all outdoor fabric products with exceptional quality and to recognised standards, both nationally and internationally. ATA NZ hosts both regional and national events every year. These opportunities provide members of the industry a chance to network, share ideas and grow both personally and professionally. CARR New Zealand has been a long-term supporter of the Industrial Textile Apprentice of the Year Award at ATA NZ’s annual trade show and conference, with us providing a quality Leister tool to be given to the well-deserving recipient.
